Beyond a time ago

Off in a distant land

Life the consummate teacher

A child into a man

History will not speak it

No one will tell the tale

Dignity Has not a price

And Honor is not for sale

The memories into Nightmares

The screams echo loudest still

Kept at bay through fortitude

An iron strength of will

Lo tho he trembles

And suffers in the night

His sanity barley discernable

He’ll not give up the fight

An oath taken without reserve

A promise that spans a lifetime

When the call is raised again

He’ll stand upon the front line

Digging deep within his core

Where once the fire raged

He’ll again unlock that door

To the Wolf who has been caged

It’s then he will remember
